Ride Agenda:

What to Expect at Camp

Once we arrive at Happy Horse, there’s plenty to do besides setting up your tent!
Chill & Refresh – Showers available + great hammock trees!
Game Night? – Bring a deck of cards & we’ll have tables/chairs set up.
Campfire Cooking – We’re working on securing a food vendor, but we may also do a communal grill-out (hot dogs, anyone?) If you're interested in helping, let us know!

NOTE: Biking to the event is optional feel free to join us by car for the campout.

I reached out to our ride leaders and one of our dedicated volunteers to hear what they love most about overnight bike camping and some pro tips —here’s what they had to say:

Nick: “Pigging out on food after a day of exciting, endorphin-filled riding. Recounting the day’s experiences with friends over a shared meal.”

Alonso: “Finding an amazing camping spot, embracing the sense of adventure in exploring the unknown, and escaping the hustle of city life.”

Chelsea: “Relaxing by the campfire after a long ride. :)”

Tips from Our Ride Leaders & Volunteer for Bike Camping!

Chelsea: It can feel intimidating if you’re new to bike camping, but don’t worry! The community spirit is strong—everyone helps each other through the tough spots and mechanicals. People are kind and want to support each other!

Alonso: Use the gear you already have! No need to overcomplicate things. Keep it simple and do a test ride before the big trip.

Nick:
Test ride your bike with all your camping gear well in advance—don’t wait until the last minute! You may need to make adjustments.
Try not to overpack—especially for just a one-night trip. Less weight = more fun!

Ready to roll?

I hope you had a chance to check out my last email with the Ride Overview, Route Info, and What to Expect at Camp—especially if you're joining the ride to Happy Horse!

P.S. We’re still looking for a few Featured Storytellers! If you have a story to share, sign up or learn more HERE
